Overview
The Scoop lets freelancers rate and evaluate companies they’ve worked with, giving insight into areas such as communication, work environment, and compensation. Ratings help the community make informed choices and promote transparency across the platform. Your submitted review appears on your profile and contributes to the company’s ratings view.
Availability by plan
The Scoop is available to all subscription levels.
Quick start: open The Scoop

From the main navigation, click The Scoop (or choose the The Scoop tile on Start Here).

The main page loads, where you can browse companies or rate your gig.
Add a rating (Rate your Gig)
Click Rate your Gig (or Add Rating).
Choose a company: Use the searchable dropdown to find a company, or create a new company if it’s not listed.
Select your role: Choose the role you were hired in.
Rate categories: Provide ratings for the listed categories (e.g., Work-Life Balance, Money, and Overall Rating).
Submit: Click Submit. You’ll see a confirmation message, and the review will appear on your profile.
View ratings

Search or browse: On The Scoop home, use the search bar or click Browse Companies to open the listings page.

Company cards & carousel: On listings, interact with the carousel on a company card to see different rating highlights.

See More: Click See More on a company to open the detailed ratings page. Browse categories via the carousel and read feedback.
Troubleshooting

Can’t find a company → Try alternate spellings or create a new company from the search field.

Search not updating → Ensure you’re typing in the company listings search; results should update dynamically.

Carousel not moving → Use the carousel arrows on listings or the detailed ratings page.

Review not visible on profile → Wait for the success confirmation, then check your profile and refresh.

Detailed page missing categories → Use See More on the company card, then flip through category cards on the detailed page.
Field reference (quick)

Rate your Gig / Add Rating: Opens the Rate a Company form.

Company (searchable): Find an existing company or create a new one.

Role: The role you were hired in for that engagement.

Categories: Communication, Work Environment, Compensation, and other company‑experience metrics.

Submit: Saves your review; a confirmation message appears.

Browse Companies / See More: Open listings and company details to view ratings by category and comments.
